Queerbait

For those lucky enough to have seen Queerbait at last year’s Pride Ball (or when they opened for Bikini Kill, still not over that), you’d know Queerbait’s perfect harmony of driving drums, rhythmic bass and guitar, and commanding vocals. You can’t help but dance! Support their single ‘Clock’ on Bandcamp!

Red Hill

Red Hill’s debut EP ‘Where’s Randy?’ encompasses love, everyday struggles, and the scary parts of adulthood. Check out their beautiful melodies and stunning lyricism on most streaming platforms and support them on Bandcamp!

Clover Love

With bare lyricism, emotional vocals, and folk punk instrumentals, Clover Love’s tunes are gritty and real. Find their demo single ‘Quarter Life Crisis’ on most streaming platforms!

Junebug

If you’ve been to a few Queer Collective events with live music, you should be familiar with Junebug’s music both solo and as one third of Bushed Poetry! They present amusing and at times raw, cutting lyrics with fantastic banjo accompaniment. Find her EP ‘Tunebug’ on Bandcamp!

Passion Pup

Passion Pup delivered moving ballads about love and longing at this year’s Queer Fest. Weaving a tale with each song’s context, audience members were brought on a visceral journey of unrequited love being reciprocated. Passion Pup’s performance ended with a fantastic cover of ‘Red Wine Supernova’ by Chappell Roan. Keep an eye on their Instagram for updates about live performances!

Georgie Taylor

Those who attended Queer Fest might have caught an engaging performance from Georgie Taylor about the parts of love and relationships that are a little rougher around the edges. The highlight of her performance for me was a tongue-in-cheek song about failing to read between the lines, ‘Give It To Me Straight’. You can find her music on most streaming platforms and Bandcamp!

Kat Flowers

You might’ve seen Kat Flowers at last year’s Queer Fest, weaving moving stories with heartfelt earworms. Make sure you take a second to appreciate the collage work on her album covers before you dig in to her releases on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp!

Lobotomy Girl

For the experimental electronic music fans out there, Lobotomy Girl puts on electric live performances with music that will get you dancing and stealing glances at their music tech. Find updates on live performances on their Instagram!

Talia Stewart

Taking inspiration from history and pop culture and blending it into unrecognisable tales of love and loss, with a beautiful piano backing. Check out her EP ‘Wisteria’ on Spotify!

Faceless

Think Clairo bedroom pop with a harsh punk twist. Drawing inspiration from Fiona Apple and early Green Day, Faceless’ demo album, ‘girlchild’, blends a myriad of influences. Check it out on Bandcamp!
